SCOPE AND
Responsibilities:
This position first and foremost is a Leadership mandate. The successful operations leader will anticipate client needs and will be proactive in focus and not reactive. The Director of Operations must be a change agent and must align with the aggressive growth orientation of the organization. This position directs, manages and coordinates all activities associated with operations, maintenance, and materials management. Additionally, the Director of Operations will work to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations. Specific responsibilities include the following:
Accountable to lead the operations to a level of performance which meets and/or exceeds annual goals.
Responsible for the formulation and adherence to annual budgets for above departments and to establish key performance indicators.
Responsible for the overall management and strategic direction, of the plant's operations goals to decrease costs and improve overall performance.
Responsible for coordination and streamlining of overlapping processes between operating groups and support functions.
Chiefly responsible for developing and maintaining a culture where decisions are driven down to their lowest level. Team member, associate and first line supervisor empowerment is not just a phrase but is a way of life in this environment.
Drive the PXP operating system via LEAN manufacturing including Kaizen Blitz events, Kanban, First Time Quality, Value Stream mapping, 5S, and ISO principles.
Mentor and train operations leaders in using tools and adopting principles that will lead to operational excellence. Focus on Key Metrics; Safety, Quality, Delivery, Performance/Customer Satisfaction, EBITDA and Efficiency/Productivity.
Maintain excellence in the areas of Preventative Maintenance and housekeeping. Facilities should reflect a spotless environment/culture.
TRAVEL Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
