Responsibilities:
Maintain courteous communication with the tenants, ownership, vendors and representatives of other companies.
Order supplies within established budgeted guidelines, following purchase order procedures.
Lease up vacant apartments.
Collect outstanding balances from tenants.
Update daily reports concerning notices to vacate, vacancy reports, activity reports, etc. and provide information to Regional Manager.
Maintain accurate tenant records.
Answer all incoming phone calls and handle accordingly whether prospect call, irate tenant, service requests, etc.
Manage a maintenance staff.
Execute and monitor capital improvement projects.
Requirements:
Must have above average computer skills.
Must have a minimum of 3 years or more experience in the property management industry as a property manager of 100 apartments or higher.
Must have leasing experience.
Must be positive and coachable.
Must be able to understand an operating budget and work within specific goals.
Bonus Points:
College Degree a Plus
Property manager for multiple properties a plus
Experience in construction a plus
Experience using property management software (Buildium) a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
