Sr. Project Engineer

Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies
knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as pipeline headers, instruments, controls,
machines, etc. Supervises fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or
repair
of mechanical
products. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures pipeline and terminal
operations.


Responsibilities
Size equipment and develop processes for pipeline, terminal and manufacturing process.
o Responsible for the detailed design covering the areas of a terminal such as product storage, product
manufacturing, heat transfer, fluid flow, utilities, etc.
o Responsible for the detailed design covering the areas of a pipeline such as fluid flow, utilities, etc.
o Responsible for modifying P&IDs and PFDs as become necessary in the design features.
o Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
o Design, plan layout, and assist field operations engaged in constructing, controlling and improving equipment.
o Analyze operating procedures and equipment function to reduce processing time and cost.
o Design processes to control movement and storage of materials.
o Design and plans measurement and control systems for plants.
o Determine the most effective arrangement of unit operations exercising judgment to compromise between
process requirements, economic evaluation, operator effectiveness and physical and health hazards.
o Direct activities of contractors who install such equipment as pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, valves, boilers,
pipelines, and electrical.
o Apply known principles of engineering to solve problems.
o Use Microsoft Office software and AutoCAD software.
o Travel to jobsite during the project construction phase.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred. Work experience in lieu of degree
will be considered.
o Experience in a process engineering
position
with involvement in petroleum industry
o Experience in a position responsible for the detailed design covering the areas of plant such as; storage,
heat transfer, fluid flow, utilities, etc.
o Experience in a position responsible for modifying P&IDs and PFDs as become necessary.
o Experience in sizing equipment and developing processes for manufacturing and pipeline movements.
o Experience in conducting research to develop new and improved petroleum manufacturing processes.
o Experience in; design, plan layout, assisting in constructing, controlling, and improving equipment to
carry out processes on industrial scale.
o Must be able to travel to project locations as required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
