The following are upheld by the Mechanic:

Maintaining open communications and a harmonious working relationship with all personnel, but in particular with those involved in a reporting relationship.
This includes attending weekly departmental meetings, as well as helping resolve interdepartmental conflicts.
Participating in seminars for training when needed.
This includes learning product knowledge and procedural proficiencies.
Using and submitting all forms and reports in a complete, accurate, and timely basis.
This includes respecting and maintaining proper filing systems.
Ensuring your work areas are clean and presentable to customers and other visitors.
Maintaining a reasonable work environment and providing adequate safeguards for your work-related health and safety.
This includes complying with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Maintaining all external relationships consistent with the objectives, operating philosophy, and desired image of the company, re:
customer relations, public relations, vendor relations, and community relations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
The following are performed by the Mechanic:
Preventative Maintenance One of the principal duties of the Mechanic is to maintain the equipment in excellent working order, the first step is through performing preventative maintenance as needed Follow preventative maintenance schedules and checklists Perform work in a proper fashion according to the equipment needs, age, condition, use, as trained and outlined in the equipment manual Record entries as duties are performed Repairs Receive Repair Work Orders Prioritize work to be performed based on individual equipment needs, Operator and Shift Supervisor input, and specific instructions from the Plant Manager Perform repairs in such a way as to get the production line up and running in the most expeditious way Reexamine machinery to make sure that it is working properly Complete repairs if the initial repair was only a temporary solution Inform the Shift Supervisor of any machine problems which may adversely affect the efficiency of that shift's work, may present a safety hazard in any way, or of any machine whose Operators need to be assigned other duties while a machine is being repaired Keep the Shift Supervisor informed of machine status, including when a machine is ready to function properly Ensure that all equipment which is unsafe to operate is designated so, shut down properly and placed in a safe condition, and the Operator and Crew are informed Operator Training Shift Supervisors are responsible for the Operators, however, it is the Mechanics Duty to offer training to Operators as needed on an ongoing basis concerning machine operation which obviously effects overall efficiency or adversely effects equipment life and maintenance When machines break down or are in need of immediate repair, question Operator to ascertain the nature of the problem and the conditions of operation in which the problem occurred Maintain a safety first attitude, ensure that Operators are operating equipment safely at all times General Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the maintenance area Sign for tools going in or out of the tool inventory Assume responsibility for all tools assigned Clean equipment and work area as necessary to work on machinery or to clean up afterwards Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor General Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manger including Building improvements and maintenance (Move equipment, weld shelves, etc.
) Recommend possible improvements or additions to equipment, or new equipment which should be purchased or better ways to utilize and operate equipment already in place PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
The following are required of the Mechanic:
To meet or beat all budgets, time schedules, and performance evaluation goals at least 95% of the time, without sacrificing Recommended Skills Communication Customer Relationship Management Financial Management Machinery Maintenance Mechanical Engineering Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
