Rowing Operations Associate - Part Time

Job DetailsJob LocationRIVERSPORT - Oklahoma City, OKDescription Develop a boat maintenance program focused on keeping equipment in top working order Work closely with the Program Managers to maintain equipment turn over plan Responsible for safety launch operations and logistics both at the Boathouse District Coordinate launch schedule for all athletic programs including High Performance, OCU, Junior rowing, Youth and Corporate leagues, Kayak programs and regattas Responsible for fuel storage Ensure safety launches are properly maintained and meet prescribed safety protocols Provide regular safety equipment checks and close assessment of risk during practices; and address safety issues associated with the launches and rowing hulls Coordinate outside repair work for fleet of boats, oars and safety launches Assists with other duties as assigned to further the mission of RIVERSPORT Foundation.
This position is a leadership position within the RIVERSPORT Foundation and the rowing community at large - the successful candidate will seek to serve all customers and affiliated partners.
This position shall represent the mission and goals of RIVERSPORT Foundation at all times - within the OKC-metro community and national rowing communities.
QualificationsThis position is well suited for a helpful, energetic person who can handle a balance of coaching with youth and adult rowers.
The ideal candidate will have a positive, can do attitude and possess the following
Qualifications:
Coaching experience required.
Minimum two years coaching at the college or high school level.
Experience coaching sweep and sculling.
Valid driver's license.
Trailer driving experience preferred.
First Aid/CPR and USOC SafeSport Certification.
RIVERSPORT Foundation will provide upon hiring.
Must enthusiastically represent RIVERSPORT Foundation by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner with co-workers, supervisors, subordinates, athletes, parents, and potential customers.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Interest in the expansion of Oklahoma City through the Oklahoma River and mission of the RIVERSPORT Foundation.
Recommended Skills Cpr Communication First Aid And Preparedness Leadership Maintenance Microsoft Office Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
