Banking Center Auditor

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITES Auditing banking center practices, Visa check card instant issue inventory and processes, and completing morning security reviews to determine adherence to Retail policy and procedure.
Use experience and/or education to contrive risk reduction improvements.
Observe employee behaviors for red flag activity and/or mannerism and be able to react timely and appropriately to these specific circumstances.
Exert good judgment in knowing what questions/concerns are credible and therefore need to be escalated.
Prepare trended error summaries to highlight where training emphasis is needed.
Create procedures and standards as needed for various work paper testing, audit report formatting, and communication escalation.
Complete banking center audit reports and communicate with banking center personnel regarding audit reports.
Review new/changed/deleted retail policy and procedures as well as new Compliance regulations.
Assists banking center employees with interpretations and understandings of policies and procedures as needed.
Assists in conducting formal controls training approximately quarterly for teller operations supervisors, assistant managers, and managers.
Responsible for special projects including, but not limited to, establishing controls for acquired banks, ensuring proper controls are in place for new or modified products, assisting management in cash outage investigations, and other projects as assigned.
Position Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred, but strong related commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 3-5 years retail banking experience required Minimum of 1 year auditing experience or equivalent (i.
e.
retail banking processes such as teller balancing, negotiable instrument logs, understanding of dual control, deposit hold regulations, business account set-up and transactions, cash ordering, ATM processing, and other various aspects of retail banking) Out of state travel is required regularly.
Travel to most Oklahoma banking centers occurs Tuesday through Thursday each week.
Out of state travel and remote Oklahoma locations typically require 2 to 3 overnight stays.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong analytical and independent thinking skills.
A healthy skepticism of policy adherence.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
