DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising plant employees in a manufacturing area.
Thisposition plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements inproduction methods, equipment, operation procedures and working conditions.
This position coaches andmentors team members in the areas of safety, quality, and the deployment of Operational Excellence asthe way we do business.

Essential Functions Statement(s)? Coaches and mentors team leads and operators to effectively produce, continuously improveprocesses and develop talent? Develops, leads and execute daily staffing, training, and production plans? Ensures team is properly trained, resourced, supplied and managed to achieve objectives.
? Communicates production status to customer service, production control, and supply chainpartners? Ensures that established procedures and processes are being followed by monitoring workexecution and confirming execution of standard work through training, coaching, and auditing? Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and employee morale to achieve optimal results inproduction areas? With team leads identifies causes of defects, line stops, inventory, non-standard work by teammembers and other deviations from standard? Develops, proposes to manager, and implements plans to correct root-causes of deviations fromstandard? Monitors and manages area MDI boardsProduction Leader JD Rev 2023-01-06? Provides coaching, counseling and/or performance discussions as needed? Actively participates and coach team members in Hazard Identification and coordinate supportresources as needed to correct all identified hazards? Adjusts work plans as needed to achieve on time delivery? Implements and assures best practices, which follow Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISOor like quality related to purchasing and inventory control? Other duties assigned by supervisorSupervisory
Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directingwork assignments; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing concernsand resolving problems.
SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation:
Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Business Management or other relateddiscipline is preferred.
Minimum of associate degree in business technology or engineering or acombination of education and experience is required.
Experience:
3-5 years of operations experience in a high mix/medium volume environment is required.
Experience serving large, demanding customers and understanding how to meet their needs.
Previoussupervisory experience required.
Previous experience with Operations Excellence(Lean) to identify andimplement improvements.
Computer Skills:
Computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft office tools such as Outlook, Word, Exceland PowerPoint.
Familiar with use of CAD viewer software.
Certificates & Licenses:
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification is a plusOther Requirements:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
