This position is focused on helping the bank comply with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and the new Dodd-Frank Section 1071 small-business lending regulations.

Responsibilities Maintain and document HMDA reportable transactions to determine reporting requirements Assist in implementing new Section 1071, small business lending regulations Perform periodic flood monitoring activities and act as the designated flood monitor to include various duties with regard to properties in Special Flood Hazard Areas, such as, force placing insurance when necessary, and approving and monitoring flood policies in accordance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act Perform periodic monitoring activities to ensure compliance with regulations in accordance with the department's monitoring plan Responsible for developing procedures for assigned monitoring, maintaining audit spreadsheets and documentation files Compose memos and reports to include audit findings, exceptions and recommendations Additional duties, as necessary, to fulfill the bank's overall compliance requirements Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities Three years of experience in compliance preferred.
Basic knowledge and understanding of banking compliance regulations, to include those related to real estate lending, HMDA, and force placed insurance Knowledge and understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) preferred Ability to research compliance regulations and apply reasonable thought processes when recommending solutions to bank staff Strong verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills:
ability to work well with a wide range of people Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills Good organizational and time management skills, ability to follow through on projects and ability to focus on multiple tasks Ability to make appropriate judgments based on bank policy and procedures while demonstrating commitment to bank values through behavior Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, such as ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to interpret bar graphs Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel Ability and willingness to continue business skill development Job Type:
