Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide physical therapist assistant skills and functions to assigned patients at assigned locations as directed by Physical Therapist.
Provide treatment interventions and follow plans of care as delegated by physical therapist.
Participate in annual clinical skills evaluation by the Director of Clinical Services.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Conduct effective and appropriate treatment interventions and communication with evaluating and supervising physical therapist.
Participate in the ongoing review and evaluation of Quality Assurance program.
Prepare and submit all required reports in a timely manner.
Maintain timely filing and completing of required documentation.
Perform and conduct training as requested.
Participate in meetings and committees as designated to promote the development of the area and/or clinical specialty Work with other therapists to maintain level of care and communication of assigned patients.
Assume responsibility for equipment, inventory, safety, and security of assigned facilities.
Maintain compliance with external agency requirements as designed.
Perform in a manner, which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of Valir Health.
Any and all other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Experience:
Must equal or surpass minimal certification requirements established by the State licensing standards Licensed in resident state or eligible (may be obtained after hire) Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy preferred 1 year clinical experience in Physical Therapy preferred Physical Requirements (Subject to Reasonable Accommodation):

Safe Environment:
Demonstrate knowledge of Hospital specific and individual role in the fire/safety program including the following management plans:
safety, security, hazardous materials/waste, emergency preparedness, life safety, medical equipment and utility systems.
Participate in the Hospital policies and procedures relating to infection control for self, patients, and staff.
Observe proper body mechanics and safety precautions in all job duties.
Communicate information about incidents involving self, patients, staff and/or visitors to appropriate parties, using facility incident reporting systems as appropriate.
Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
