SQL Server Report Services Writer at IAP Worldwide Services in Oklahoma City, OK
As the SQL Server Report Services (SSRS) Report Writer, you will work as part of our software development and support team. This Microsoft SSRS Development role is largely responsible for creating, maintaining, deploying, and managing existing and creating new reports for internal and external customers. You will work collaboratively with Software Developers, business analysts, other IT staff, and business stakeholders to create, maintain, and support SSRS reports in a compliant, regulated environment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Review and optimize existing queries written by other developers. Developing, testing, and deploying SSRS reports to production environments. Communicating with report owners and other stakeholders to elicit and document reporting requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Developing reporting requirements and obtaining sign off from business stakeholders. Designing and developing report mock-ups and prototypes. Support administration and configuration of SSRS servers. Provide Level 2 support and fulfilment of service requests for reports, acting as the primary escalation point for the Service Desk. Develop and maintain operating procedures and support documentation for reports and the SSRS infrastructure. Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for SSRS reports and their operation. Experience:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or business administration. 5 years report of development experience using SQL for producing reports from MS SQL Server databases. Expert level skills in SQL, complex queries, report design, and layouts. Aviation experience a plus. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Expert report development skills with the ability to assess and apply the appropriate methodology for the work assigned. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analysis, and design skills. Ability to work effectively with IT analysts and functional users.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
